Katherine Chapter 83 Order of the Eastern Star will hold their first Pancake Breakfast of the summer season on Sunday, June 19, from 7 to 11 a.m. at the Marble Lodge, located at 100 Main Street in Danby. The menu includes plain or blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, orange or apple juice, coffee and homemade doughnuts. Readsboro Turkey Dinner

The South Readsboro Community Club on Bosley Hill Road wants to welcome you to their first Turkey Dinner of the season on Saturday, June 18,  from 5 to 7 p.m. Dinner includes turkey with all the fixings and homemade strawberry shortcake fo dessert for $12 a person.

Saint James in Arlington to Host Pulled Pork Dinner

Saint James’ Episcopal Church in Arlington invites one and all to its annual Pork Dinner on Saturday, June 18, 12 noon until 5 p.m., rain or shine. This year’s menu features barbecued pulled pork along with rolls, homemade coleslaw and potato salad, Caesar salad, ice tea and lemonade, with an assortment of freshly baked pies for dessert. Dinner is served buffet-style, with plenty of seating under the tent and on the church lawn located in the center of town across from the Arlington Community House. The cost of the full meal is $12 for adults, $8 for kids seven to 12, and free for those age six and under. For more information, call the church at 802-375-9952.

Ham & Strawberry Supper at First Baptist Church in Manchester

The Mary Martha Fellowship of Manchester’s First Baptist Church invites the community to their annual Ham and Strawberry Supper on Saturday, June 18, at 6 p.m. The menu features roast ham, baked beans, salads, homemade rolls – and the star, strawberry shortcake with freshly picked strawberries and real whipped cream. Reservations can be made by calling Martha at 802-362-3473, and are recommended if stairs are a problem. Take outs will be available; order by calling the same number. Tickets will also be sold at the door for a donation of $12 for adults and $6 for ages eight and under. The Church is located at the corner of Route 7A/Main Street and Route 30/Bonnet Street in Manchester.
