Front-TSP-A Festival of TreesThe Bennington Museum’s 17th annual Festival of Trees is here. This community-created exhibit of uniquely designed and decorated holiday trees, each in its own vignette, runs from November 29 through December 30. This year, creators of the vignettes – local businesses, non-profit and service organizations in Bennington and surrounding communities – were invited to select an item from the museum’s collection that is rarely on exhibit; these ‘hidden gems’ will become the inspiration for each of over 20 vignettes. Some of the galleries will also be adorned with the museum’s traditional trees.  Added to these are the tabletop trees, decorated by elementary school classes from Bennington and surrounding communities.

The Festival of Trees Gala takes place on Saturday, December 14, from 7 to 10 p.m. Come share the excitement of finding the hidden gems in the vignettes, and stay to enjoy a fabulous evening with delectable foods, fine wine and signature drinks. The Mount Anthony Union High School Chamber Chorus and Catbird Trio will be providing live music, the galleries will be open, and there will be live and silent auctions. Tickets for the Gala are $65 per person. The museum is located at 75 Main Street, Route 9, in Bennington, Vt. Visit benningtonmuseum.org or call
