Are You Ready for the Chocolate (and Cheese) Fest?

If you are a chocolate-holic, have you been dreaming of fabulous fudge? Beautiful brownies? Tempting truffles? Or are you more of a cheese connoisseur? Dreaming of glorious gouda? Charming cheddar? Blooming bleu? Or perhaps you crave both chocolate and cheese? Then the most wonderful night of the year is almost here!

The Fourth Annual Chocolate (and Cheese) Fest is next Monday, August 5, from 5 to 8, at the Landgrove Inn on Landgrove Road in Landgrove.

There will more than 40 skilled chefs presenting samples of the most delicious food ever and you can eat as much as you want…or, at least, until you have (blissfully) had enough to sustain you through the long Vermont winter. There will be music. There will be a cash bar. And, there will be an outstanding silent auction where you will be dazzled with a very tempting array of must-haves donated by our many community businesses. In addition, there will be two raffles, a 50/50 raffle, and another with the opportunity to win a romantic (or maybe just peaceful) dinner and overnight at the Grafton Inn.

Tickets may be purchased at the Green Mountain Pharmacy and at Neighborhood Connections (both located in the Londonderry Mountain Marketplace), at the Village Green Gallery in Weston, and at the Landgrove Inn. There is ample offsite parking and the Chocolate and (Cheese) Fest is fully handicapped accessible.

Everything to create this wonderful evening has been donated by our community to support Neighborhood Connections, which serves those among us who need help and don’t know how or where to get that help. (In addition to help with food stamps, fuel assistance, and healthcare, in the fall we will be offering assistance to those who need help negotiating the insurance “exchanges” to enroll in the new Vermont Health Connect…also known as Obamacare.)

The Staff, Board, and Volunteers of Neighborhood Connections thank all of those who have so generously supported us, and made this event possible. You fulfill the true definition of “neighbor.”
