Community organizations are gearing up for the day-long Arlington Community Holiday Celebration on Saturday, December 8. The Community House, Saint James’ Church, the Martha Canfield Library and Burdett Common are all hosting events coordinated by the Arlington Area Renewal Project. Christmas Trees and Wreaths will be sold to benefit Community House activities; a donation box for the Food Shelf will be located at the Community House.

This day of fun begins at 10 a.m. with Holiday Cookie Decorating, followed by a popular holdiay movie at 10.30. The Community House will be the site of a Holiday Bazaar from 12 to 4 p.m. Activities for children and adults will be held from 2 to 4 at Burdett Commons; Santa and his elves will arrive at 3 p.m. Join friends and neighbors at 4:30 p.m. for the tree and town lighting at Saint James Church, and while there, check our their display of crèches from around the world. Holiday music and caroling, hot chocolate and treats, will wrap up the day at 5 p.m. on the Community House lawn.
