Arnowitt to Discuss Chopin at Next First Wednesday Talk
Pianist Michael Arnowitt will perform and discuss the work of Frederic Chopin at Manchester’s First Congregational Church at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2. His talk is part of the Vermont Humanities Council’s First Wednesdays lecture series. The program is free and open to the public and hosted by Manchester Community Library. Arnowitt will focus on the life of Frederic Chopin and his preludes, quintessential romantic miniatures that span the full range of human experience and emotion. He previously delivered lecture performances on Gershwin and Beethoven for Manchester First Wednesdays, to rave reviews. Arnowitt is a classical and jazz pianist and recording artist who has performed with orchestras throughout the US and Europe. His life and music is the subject of an award-winning documentary by the American filmmaker Susan Bettmann, ‘Beyond 88 Keys.’ For more information, contact Manchester Community Library at 802-362-2607 or the Vermont Humanities Council at vermonthumanities.org.
