Art in Service of Society
The gallery and studios at 77ART, at 77 Grove Street in downtown Rutland, has embraced a number of intentionally mobile exhibition spaces currently located in downtown Rutland, including the B&G and West Street Galleries. They will be welcoming international artists as well as those from cities across the US in its artist residency program this year over the course of three sessions in June, August and October, with artist-led workshops and talks designed to encourage cultural exchange. In addition, the Young Curator’s Project (YCP) will teach middle and high school students how to think critically about art and ultimately curate a show in biweekly workshops conducted by volunteers. Art successfully makes the world a better place only when communities love, celebrate and support it! For more information, visit 77art.org.
