Author Talk at Dorset Library to Revisit the 60s
Relive the ‘60s with The Zum Zum Girls at the Dorset Library. Join the Dorset Library at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, to hear local author Lynn Wachtel speak about her new book, ‘The Zum Zum Girls.’ Refreshments will be served, including chocolate chip cookies and chocolate mousse made from Zum Zum girl Lori Wentworth’s own recipe. ‘The Zum Zum Girls’ is a captivating story of four spirited girls who develop a special friendship that will last a lifetime. It is an inspiring and often funny narrative of their lives, loves and careers during an unprecedented period of social and technological change -– the Vietnam War, the sexual revolution, the advent of women’s liberation and the first man on the moon. Wachtel is a freelance writer and artist who spent many years in the business world before becoming a novelist. Following the presentation, Wachtel will be available for book signing.
