Author Talks: Northshire Bookstore
Michelle Hoover, author of ‘Bottomland’ comes to Northshire Bookstore in Manchester on Friday, March 4, at 7 p.m. ‘Bottomland’ is Hoover’s much anticipated second novel (the first being ‘The Quickening’). This story of love, and betrayal follows a family in the years after World War I as they attempt to rid themselves of the anti-German sentiment that has left a stain on their name. When the youngest two daughters vanish in the middle of the night, the family must piece together what happened while struggling to maintain life on the unforgiving Iowa plains. Hoover is a native of Iowa and lives in Boston.
