Authors to Visit Camelot Village
Camelot Village will be presenting three local authors to share their books at an Author Event and Book Signing on Saturday, October 12, from 10 to 3. The public is cordially invited to this free event. Come meet these authors and learn about their origins and their various types of writing.
Stephentown, N.Y., author and speaker Norma Williams Lasch, will present ‘Tassels of Blue, Weaving Threads of Devotion,’ a fifty-year collection of inspirational songs and poems on rural New England memories. The author reflects on the frustrations of breaking into print, the challenges of a young mom and wife in the sixties, humorous tales on her career as legal secretary for county government, lazy days under a Cape Cod umbrella and her fond memories of Adirondack camping with her family. Even through life’s unending challenges, including the loss of a child, the author weaves her faith in poetic form.
Grafton, N.Y., resident and author Randy Kneer, will present ‘The Untold Story of Helen Ellet,’ a colorful and historic account of an adventurous woman who manned a local fire tower, with pictorial memories of her life’s challenges, from being alone on the mountain to her expertise with a gun.
William Middleton of Grafton, N.Y. writes illustrated children’s books of stories told to his grandchildren. After studying illustration at the Art Student League in N.Y. under Frank Reilly, Bill has published four delightful children’s books to date, including ‘Gordon the Goldfish,’ ‘Autumn Ball,’ ‘Stanley and Henrietta’ and ‘The Chipmunk Jamboree.’
Camelot Village is located at 66 Colgate Heights, Route 9W in Bennington, Vt.
