BBA Model UN Team Named ‘Best Large Delegation’ in Boston
The Burr and Burton Model UN program led by teacher Kendra LaRoche engages high school students in an exploration of current world issues through interactive simulations and curricular materials to cultivate literacy, life skills and the attitudes necessary for active citizenship. This past week, BBA’s Model UN group attended a conference at Boston University, and the team was named ‘Best Large Delegation’ among all the participants. The following BBA students also received individual honors: Natalie Johnson and Will Sambrook, best position paper award; Joshua Coppola, verbal commendations; Ramsay Eyre and Nate Gourd, honorable mention; Chris Kornaros, Amelia Nick, Miles Glazer and Nico Avalle-Emrbee, outstanding delegate: Tyler Jager, Tobias Lepecki and Russell Bartlet, best delegate. Other students who participated in the eventwere CeCe Szkutak, Michael Caggiano, Alex Weinstein, Maddie Zeif and Arianna Blanchard.
