Burr and Burton Academy’s Performing Arts Department will present ‘Avenue Q School Edition,’ winner of the Tony ‘triple crown’ for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book, at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, May 10 to 14. The production will be staged in the  Riley Center for the Arts on the school campus.

‘Avenue Q: School Edition,’ differs slightly from the original Broadway version and is appropriate for high school audiences and performers. Parental discretion is advised for younger children.

Jim Raposa directs this unique show, filled with gut-busting humor and a delightfully catchy score, not to mention puppets

‘Avenue Q’ is a timeless story about young adults searching for their purpose in life and dealing with the uncertainty that faces them. Drawing its inspiration from Sesame Street, many adults in the audience will find direct and recognizable parodies of the popular characters they grew up with. Don’t miss this hilariously funny new breed of musical.

Tickets are $12 for general admission and $7 for BBA students, faculty and staff, available at bbatickets.com.
