BBA Students Present a Festival of Dance, Drama and Film
Burr and Burton Academy’s Media and Performing Arts Department is proud to present ‘A Festival of Dance, Drama, and Film on Friday, January 10, at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., in the Riley Center for the Arts, under the direction of Claudia Shell-Raposa, Bill Muench and Jim Raposa. These performances by this semester’s acting, dance and flm classes include scenes ranging from comedy to drama, with Shakespeare, Tennessee Williams, and two delightful scripts written by BBA students Valerie Coulter. Dance and muscial theater performances will include ‘Evita,’ Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller,’ a modern dance piece, a pointe variation choreographed by BBA studen Alice Cole, and a contemporary work choreographed by BBA students Zach Gordon and Carolyn Tobia. The premier of the original short film ‘The Observatory,’ written and directed by BBA student Danielle Hazelton, rounds out an entertaining evening.
