BBA to Present Festival of Dance, Drama and Film
Burr and Burton Academy’s Media and Performing Arts Department will present its winter showcase, ‘A Festival of Dance, Drama and Film,’ on Thursday, December 15, with two shows at 6 and 8 p.m. in the School’s Riley Center for the Arts. Experience the wide range of talent from BBA’s curricular acting, dance and film classes. There will be something for everyone in this exciting, tightly-packed evening of performance. Over 25 actors will perform comedic and dramatic acting scenes that range from Shakespeare to Neil Simon, Moliere to Aaron Sorkin and more. The BBA Dance Company consisting of 43 dancers will perform numbers including a hip hop piece to the Broadway hit ‘Hamilton,’ a Bob Fosse number, classical ballet and more. The fall film project, ‘Teaching Nothing,’ written by BBA’s Peter Nicholson, will have its world premiere at the event. Tickets are $3 for students, faculty and staff and $5 for adults.
