Beer and Hymns and the Great American Songbook

Zion Lutheran Church of Pittsfield presents Beer and Hymns and the great American songbook on Thursday, October 9, at 7 p.m., in the back room of Baba Louie’s Pizza, 34 Depot Street in Pittsfield, Mass.

This sixth installment of the increasingly-popular series of community sing-alongs gathers people together in a non-church. The group will be invited to call out suggested songs from the great American songbook to sing in addition to the usual selection of hymns and songs. Leading the evening will be pianists Timothy Weisman and Amy Renak, as well as Marisa Massery, vocals; Andy Wrba, bass; and Bill Chapman, drums.

Beer, wine, a variety of non-alcoholic beverages and Baba Louie’s menu items will be available for purchase.

Everyone is welcome. There is no admission fee or cover charge. A free-will offering will be taken to support the Pittsfield Area Council of Congregations (PACC) Emergency Fuel Fund. Over $1,750 has been raised at Beer and Hymns events to help PACC purchase fuel oil for those in need.
