Berkshire Athenaeum Awards

The Berkshire Athenaeum, Pittsfield’s public library, announced the recipients of three annual awards. Janet Rogge of Adams, Mass., was honored with the Donald L. Lutes Library Volunteer of the Year Award, recognizing her extraordinary efforts to assist those in pursuit of their family history. Runners up were Angela Rifkin of Williamstown, Ma. Betty Quadrozzi and Brandon Holly, both of Pittsfield, Ma. The Rabbi Joshua Briendel and Stephanie Bennett family of Pittsfield was selected to receive the Family of the Year Award; runner-ups were the Thomas and Rebecca Lusignan family, the Ryan and Michelle Barzousky family and the John Villinski and Anahid Avasharian family, all of Pittsfield. The Champion Borrower Award went to Philip Winnard of Pittsfield. Runner-up honors went to Patricia MacCartney, Michael Bushy and Helen Radin, all of Pittsfield.
