Billings Farm to Host Baby Animal Day

Billings Farm and Museum invites the public to a day set aside to introduce its newest residents which offers fun family activities.

Billings Farm and Museum will feature Baby Animal Day on Saturday, March 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This family event introduces the Farm’s newborn lambs and calves, as well as fully-grown draft horses, Southdown sheep and Jersey cows. Farm staff will be on hand to discuss the care, diet and growth of our young livestock, as well as a range of other topics, including sustainability, crop diversity and responsible agriculture. We’ll also be offering horse-drawn wagon rides around the farm fields and family activities, including craft projects and selecting heirloom seeds to plant at home.

As an operating Jersey dairy farm with historical exhibits and interactive programs, Billings Farm and Museum offers visitors a unique experience in the heart of rural Vermont. Admission includes all programs and activities plus the farm life exhibits, a restored and furnished 1890 farm house, working dairy farm and horse-drawn wagon rides.
