Black Tie Gala & Auction Celebrates Bennington’s Catamounts
Don’t miss the final opportunity to see the 35 artist interpretations of Vermont’s mountain lion that have been on display all summer at Bennington’s Street Art Festival. They will all be showcased at a Black Tie Gala from 6 to 11 on October 26.
Why will they be there? Because they will be up for auction to the highest bidders. If you love cats, art and whimsical creations, then this is the place for you! Enjoy complimentary champagne, food, music and a cash bar.
Tickets for this event are $75 each, and there is no additional charge for a bidding paddle. You can also buy your last-minute raffle tickets for ‘Pink’ to raise money for our local Relay for Life and Cancer Research.
Or, place a silent auction bid on a school table-top catamount and help us raise money for education. Take a look at catamountprowl.com for photos and information.
The Catamount is an important indiginous Vermont animal. Thought to be extinct, there have been growing reports of nocturnal sightings throughout the state.
Are you a fan of UVM Catamount sports teams? Bid on a sculpture and donate it to your favorite team. Does your company name begin with the word catamount? What a great way to attract business and create an image for marketing! Companies, museums, lodgings, organizations, landowners, collectors, restaurants, attractions and libraries should all identify with this truly remarkable Vermont species.
The gala takes place at the Bennington Center for the Arts on Route 9 in Bennington, Vt.
