Calling all Burr and Burton alumni – have you signed up for this year’s reunion on the Hill yet?  Scheduled for September 27 to 29, the event promises to be an action-packed, fun-filled weekend. Friday activities include an insider’s tour of the Southern Vermont Arts Center, the Joe and Joan Rizio Golf tournament with the added excitement of a chance to win $10,000 for a hole-in-one, campus tours, the alumni social at The Perfect Wife Restaurant, a book signing with Peter Miller, ‘51, and a star party at the Observatory (if we are lucky enough to get a clear, cool fall evening).  On Saturday, the day starts off with a tour of the new Mountain Campus and coffee with director of the program, Ben Freeman, a special presentation by Seth Bongartz, ‘72 on “The five critical decisions made during the Lincoln Presidency,” more campus tours, an Alumni Tailgate Party, and of course, a football game, when the varsity Bulldogs face off Bellow Falls on Pettibone Field.  Later in the afternoon, we move on to the Athletic Hall of Fame and Alumni Recognition Awards followed by a Bulldogs Roundup, BBQ and Blue Grass in the Rockwell Room at the Equinox Hotel featuring the alumni musicians of Gold Town.  On Sunday, alumni and their guests are free to gather on their own with classmates, explore the surrounding area, shop, hike to the top of Equinox Mountain or wander through campus reminiscing about the “good ole days.”

Sign up online at burrburton.org or call Christine Hoard at 802-549-8277.  All are welcome; you don’t have to be celebrating a significant reunion anniversary to come. But sign up soon, because interest is high and seating is limited for Saturday night at the Equinox.  Join us for a blast from the past!
