Cambridge, N.Y. Balloon Festival Art Work Unveiled
Balloon pilots, sponsors, festival organizers and guests enjoyed the opportunity to be among the first to see the 2014 Balloon Festival artwork last Friday evening at the Balloon Festival Kick-off party held at Amorici Vineyard in Valley Falls, N.Y. Lynn Benevento of Lake Luzerne was chosen to create the festival painting. Her piece is full of vibrant color and features seven of the balloons that are regularly seen in the Cambridge festival. The original painting, on display at the Chamber office, located in the Eagle Newspaper building, 13 West Main Street in Cambridge, will be sold through a silent action. Bids will be taken from now until the Pilot’s Breakfast on Sunday, June 8. Prints of the painting are available at Battenkill Books, Deluge Design, the Eagle and O’Hearn’s Pharmacy. T-shirts, mugs and pins with this year’s logo, designed by Jenette Dill of Cambridge, are also available at the Eagle and O’Hearn’s Pharmacy.
