Cambridge Valley Balloon Festival
The Cambridge Valley Chamber of Commerce will present its 19th annual Balloon Festival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 7 to 9. Opening ceremonies will take place at the Cambridge Central School and other Friday evening activities will be taking place in the Village with a Block Party on Main Street and a Candlestick Glow on Broad Street. Fireworks to close the evening. Balloon launches will be lift off at approximately 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evening. Early risers are invited to come to the Cambridge Central School at 5:30 a.m. to watch the spectacular morning launches on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday activities include craft and vendor sales at the Presbyterian Church, local tag sales. a classic car show at Saint Patrick’s Church hosted by the Lions Club, and the Cambridge Valley Flying Club Fly-in at the airport. Towards the end of the day there will be the Taste of Cambridge food festival. Sunday starts with a Pilot’s Breakfast at the American Legion. Visit the Farmers’ Market, and look for other exciting things happening around town. Hot Air Balloon launches rely on clear weather and calm winds, so all the balloon launches are weather dependent.
