CAT-TV Open House: Opportunities & Info
Catamount Access Television (CAT-TV) will hold a new members Open House on Tuesday, October 22, from 6 to 7. Folks attending will have the opportunity to learn about the organization’s history, and how and why CAT-TV came into existence.
They will also find out about the public access channels available and the classes offered; how to make their own video shows, and submit messages to the community bulletin board; and how CAT-TV can help local non-profit groups and much more. Staff members will be available to answer questions and give tours of the facility.
CAT-TV operates the area’s local public, educational and government access channels and provides access and training for citizens who want to make use of those channels. People that live, work or go to school full time in Bennington, Woodford, Shaftsbury, Pownal and North Bennington, Vt., can become members for free; others outside of these areas can become members for a nominal fee.
Everyone is encouraged to create local programming of their own, using the equipment and facilities maintained by CAT-TV.
CAT-TV Studio is located at 625 Main Street in Bennington, Vt., just to the right of the First Baptist Church and across from Mahar’s Funeral Home.
