Christmas Church Events

Zion Episcopal Church  

Zion Episcopal Church and Saint John’s Chapel of Manchester, Vt. invite you  to Christmas Services. On Christmas Eve, there will be a 5 p.m. family service with pageant in the Church; a 7 p.m. service in the Chapel; and a 9 p.m. candlelight service with choir in the Church. There is also a 10 a.m. on Christmas Day in the Church. All services include Holy Eucharist.  The Church is located at 5167 Main Street, Route 7A, next to Ye Olde Tavern. Dorset Church

Join us at the Dorset Church on Tuesday, December 24 for a family service at 4:30 p,m., with congregational candle lighting, and 8 p.m., with Communion, congregational candle lighting and choir. There will be no services on Christmas Day, December 25. Sunday morning, December 29, we will hold a service of Lessons and Carols at 10 a.m. The Church is located at 143 Church Street, off Route 30, in Dorset, Vt. St. Luke’s Episcopal Church

St. Luke’s Episcopal welcome visitors and worshipers who seek to renew their Christian faith and find a deeper meaning to Christmas. On Tuesday, December 24, at 6:30 p.m., there will be carols followed by the Festival Holy Eucharist Rite II at 7 p.m. Child care is available. On Christmas Day, Holy Eucharist Rite II will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., and on Sunday, December 29, the Holy Eucharist Rite I will be celebrated at 8 a.m., with Rite II at 10 a.m. Visit


2nd Congregational, Londonderry

The community is warmly invited to the Christmas Eve service, Tuesday, December 24, at the Second Congregational Church in Londonderry, Vt. The church is located at 2051 Vermont Route 11. The traditional service of Lessons, Carols and Candlelight begins at 5:30 p.m. Call the church office at 802-824-6543 for more information.


First Congregational Church

The First Congregational Church of Manchester, Vt. announces its Christmas Eve Services. At 4 p.m., there will be a Family Service featuring the Children’s Christmas Pageant. At 7 p.m. we will present a service of lessons and carols, featuring the Chancel Choir, the Tall Spire Ringers, instruments and the singing of hymns and carols. Childcare  is available during the hours of each service. There will be no worship service on Christmas Day. First Congregational Church of Manchester is located at 3624 Main Street, across from the Equinox Hotel.


Sandgate United Methodist

Sandgate United Methodist Church will be holding its Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, led by Pastor Keith Mann, at 7 p.m. All are invited. The Church is located on Sandgate Road in Arlington, Vt. For more information, call 802-375-9289.


Danby Congregational Church

Danby Congregational Church will be holding a Candlelight Service on Christmas Eve, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Please join us in the sancturary of our beautiful little church to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, with music by our very talented Beth Thompson. We are located right in the village of Danby, Vt, across from the Silas Griffith Inn.


St. Paul’s Church

Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church in Wells will be holding a Christmas Eve Mass with candlelight, carols, and a story for children of all ages at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 24. On Christmas morning at 9 a.m., Wednesday, December 25, we will host a Holy Eucharist with carols. All are cordially invited to either of our Christmas services, whatever your faith tradition. East Dorset Congregational

East Dorset Congregational Church will be holding their Candlelight Service on Christmas Eve, Tuesday, December 24, at 7 p.m. The church is located right in the village of East Dorset, Vt.


 Grace Church, Rutland

Grace Congregational Church is holding a Family Christmas Eve service, 6 to 7 p.m., with the telling of the Christmas story in verse, song and pageantry. At 10:30 to 11:59 we will celebrate the coming of Christ with music, meditation and preaching of the word, then share in the beauty of lighting candles and singing “Silent Night” as the wonder and mystery of Christmas unfolds.  The church is located at 8 Court Street in Rutland, Vt. 802-775-4301.
