Arlington 

On Monday, December 24, at 5 p.m., the community is invited to celebrate Christmas at the Federated Church of East Arlington on Ice Pond Road. Come and welcome the birth of Jesus with this joyful service of carol singing, the story of Christmas, an interactive children’s message and words of hope offered by the Reverend Kathy Clark. Special music will be accompanied by Mary Edwards, music director. The service will end with the passing of candle light and Mary, Joseph and Jesus taking center stage. All are invited to bring non-perishable food items for the Arlington Food Shelf. The Federated Church of East Arlington is a local church in covenant and connection with the United Church of Christ and the United Methodist Church. Saint James’ Episcopal Church at 46 Church Street in Arlington welcomes all to worship beginning on Sunday, December 23, with Holy Eucharist Rite I (quiet and contemplative) at 8 a.m. and Rite II (with music and congregational singing) at 10 a.m. A Christmas Eve service with Holy Eucharist will be held on Monday, December 24, at 5 p.m. On Tuesday, December 25, Christmas Day, come celebrate the Nativity of our Lord, Jesus Christ at 9 a.m. You need not be Episcopalian to participate. Bennington

Sacred Heart Saint Francis de Sales at 238 Main Street in Bennington will hold three Christmas Eve Masses with Fr. Hugh Cleary on Monday, December 24: at 4 and 8 p.m. with Traditional Music, and at 12 midnight with the Church Choir. Mass will also be held on Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25, at 9 a.m. featuring Traditional Music.

Dorset

The Community is invited to join the United Church of Dorset and East Rupert on Christmas Eve, Monday, December 24. There will be two services. The family service begins at 4:30 p.m., and will include a Christmas story, time with the young and candle-lighting. The second candlelight service will begin at 8 p.m., and will include Communion. There are no services on Christmas Day. The Church is located at 143 Church Street off Route 30 in Dorset. For details, call 802-867-2260.

The Christmas Eve service at the East Dorset Congregational Church, located just off Route 7 at Mad Tom Road, will be at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, December 24, in the church. There will be carols to sing, the lighting of the Christ candle and a message by Pastor Jenney.

Manchester

Equinox Terrace Assisted Living (behind Shaw’s in Manchester) is hosting a special Christmas worship service with Pastor Tim Counts of Northshire Baptist on Sunday, December 23, from 9:45 to 10:30 a.m.

Zion Episcopal Church invites the community to three Christmas Services, all of which include Holy Eucharist. On Christmas Eve, December 24, the family service at 5 p.m. will feature a Christmas Pageant; a 7 p.m. service will be held at Saint John’s Chapel in Manchester Village; and a Candlelight Service with choir will be held back at Zion at 9 p.m. A Christmas Day service will be held at 10 a.m. Zion Church is located at 5167 Main Street/Route 7A in Manchester, and is fully accessible. Saint John the Baptist in North Bennington will host a Christmas Eve Pageant at 4 p.m. on Monday, December 24, followed by Mass with Fr. Bob Wiseman. There will also be a Mass featuring choir music on Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25, at 10 a.m.

Pawlet 

Pawlet Community Church at the corner of Routes 30 and 133 in Pawlet Village invites everyone to its traditional Christmas Eve candlelight service on Monday, December 24, at 7:30 p.m. For more information, call Pastor Melissa O’Brien at 802-325-2345.

Peru

There will be two Christmas Eve services at the Peru Church. A family service will be held at 4 p.m., and a candlelight service with choir at 6 p.m. on Monday, December 24. If seating is necessary, it is recommended that you arrive by 5:30. Pastor Margaret Dawedeit will be preaching.

Rupert 

The Congregational Church of Rupert invites you to their Christmas Eve celebration on Monday, December 24, at 7 p.m. The church is located at 2501 Route 153 in Rupert, and is handicapped accessible.

The Church of Christ at the corner of Route 153 and East Street in West Rupert will host a  Christmas Carol Sing-along on Saturday, December 23, at 4 p.m. The event will include a light buffet with holiday cookies and baked goods accompanied by punch, coffee, tea and hot cocoa, as well as a candlelight worship service. Weston
The Old Parish Church, 644 Main Street, Weston, will hold its Christmas Eve service with lessons and carols beginning at 7:30 p.m. The Church has a diverse, informal and welcoming congregation. Contact Jon Bliss,
