Clark previously served as the Bennington County Head Start director, and brings with her a wealth of knowledge in children’s services to the board of directors. “As a minister I have worked with numerous individuals whose lives have benefited from the professional services provided by UCS,” said Clark. “I’m honored to join this board and support the community through great programs like Head Start and Big Brothers Big Sisters.” Her professional experience also includes serving as the Executive Director at the United Way of Bennington County and the Executive Director of the Project Against Violent Encounters (PAVE). Clark has served on numerous local boards including the Regional Affordable Housing Corporation, Greater Bennington Interfaith Community Service, Inc., Charles Cooper Educational Fund, and Generations Child Care Center. She is the co-founder and co-coordinator of the Arlington/Sandgate/Sunderland Summer Lunch Program.
“Kathy Clark is a proven and committed leader who works every day to help people improve their quality of life. She has made her mission to help others,” said UCS Executive Director Ralph Provenza. “We will benefit greatly from her years of experience in Bennington County.”
Clark resides with her husband Roger in East Arlington, and together they have a daughter, Selene, who is currently a junior at the University of Vermont.
