Cloggers Qualify for Nationals

The Wild Country Cloggers sent a team of eight dancers to the Northeast Clogging Championships on April 15. Team members were Michael Hall, Emily Pascucci, Sarah Matteson, Antoinette Squiers, Jessica Hayes, Katlyn Weaver, Shannon Morton and John Morton. Michael took first place, Emily took second place and Katlyn took third place in solo routine. Shannon and Jessica took first place and Antoinette and Emily took third place in contemporary duo. Shannon, Jessica and Emily took first place and overall champion in trio, and Antoinette was crowned Ms. Northeast Clogger. Wild Country took second place in the traditional category and in production, and first place and overall winner in moving line. The Championships are an open regional competition. Studios and troupes from all over the northeast and Canada are invited to compete in solo, duo/duet, trio and team categories.
