Come plant a tree to help the Battenkill!
A boy scout of Manchester Boy Scout Troop 332 will be leading a big effort on Saturday, May 5th, as his Eagle Scout community service project. He is looking for volunteers to help plant 280 small trees along the banks of the Battenkill River in Manchester, at the old Dufresne Pond site – to faciltate restoration of the area back to its natural state, before the old dam (now removed) was erected. This Eagle Scout projected is hosted by local boy scout troop 332 and Trout Unlimited Southwestern VT. Come plant a tree and help with the restoration, bring a shovel if you have one! Trees and refreshments will be provided.
