Community Crusaders for Local Cancer Fundraising Event
Join the crusade to raise funds and support local cancer patients, their families and local cancer research. The Cancer Center Community Crusaders invite all interested individuals to attend an informational gathering on Saturday, January 11 at the Bennington Station, 150 Depot Street in Bennington. Stop in anytime between 10 a.m. and noon to learn what this new fundraising organization is about, and how you can join with other community members to raise funds for the Southwestern Vermont Regional Cancer Center’s (SVRCC) Patient Resource Fund, and for cancer research being conducted right here in Bennington. Hear how you can form a crusading crew and participate in the Community Remembrance and Cupcake Crusade planned for May 31. Information packets will be available for crew leaders. Members of the steering committee will attend to informally discuss the group, its goals and the plans for the big event. There is no formal program; simply stop by any time during the event for some breakfast treats and information. If you cannot attend, but would like a crusading crew leader packet, contact Erica Rogers at 802-442-2432 or 802-430-4314. Packets will be available after January 11.
The Cancer Center Community Crusaders provides financial, physical and emotional support to those who strive to obtain the best cancer care and treatment possible, and allocates a portion of the funds it raises to support local and regional research efforts to end cancer. All funds raised stay right here in the community that the SVRCC serves.
