Thrifty Attic Jewelry Sale

On Saturday, May 5, only, hundreds of carefully selected pieces of jewelry will be for sale at the Thrifty Attic, starting at $2 per item. Sterling silver, 14k gold filled and 14k gold jewelry will be available, just in time for Mother’s Day. Located on Main Street in Londonderry, the Thrifty Attic is open from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. As a nonprofit store , all proceeds are returned directly into the local community.

Rutland Library Book Sale

Friends of the Rutland Free Library will hold their monthly Book Sale on Wednesday, May 2, from 3 to 7 p.m. Browse thousands of organized, new and gently-used books, CDs, DVDs and puzzles for all ages. Most items are priced between 25 cents and $3. This month’s highlight is American history. All gardening and landscaping books are buy one, get one free. RCHS Taking Tag Sale Donations

Clean out those closets and help raise money for the animals at Rutland County Humane Society (RCHS) on Saturday, May 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. That’s when RCHS will hold their annual yard sale at 765 Stevens Road in Pittsford. Donations are being accepted now; there’s no need to pre-price the items. They can be dropped off at the brown building next to RCHS on Friday, May 11, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., or on Saturday, May 12, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. only. Granville Lions Furniture Sales

The Granville Lions Club has opened their sales of Telescope outdoor furniture behind the Post Office off Main Street in Granville, N.Y. They are open every Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Labor Day. In the over 59 years they’ve been selling the world-famous furniture, they have donated over 2 million dollars to local, state, national and world charities – including hundreds of eye exams and glasses; hearing aids; scholarships; the purchase and continued support of a home for senior citizens; and local fire companies, rescue squads, scouts, camps for children with special needs, local cultural events, libraries and museums, and much more. You support their efforts – and save a huge amount – when you purchase your summer furniture; most items are priced at wholesale or below.

W. Hebron Tag Sale

The West Hebron United Methodist Church is holding a Tag Sale on Saturday, May 5, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to raise funds for camp scholarships. Featured will be adult and children’s clothing – just 50 cents for each item – along with tag sale items, books and a variety of home-baked goods.

Bennington Tag Sale

The First Baptist Church of Bennington will hold its spring tag sale being held on Friday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday, May 5, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday is $3 bag day. Admission is free. The sale features spring and summer clothing, household goods, children’s toys, books, fabrics and more. First Baptist is located at 601 Main Street in Bennington. Wells Rummage Sale Planned

The Wells United Methodist Church will be sponsoring a Rummage Sale on Friday and Saturday, May 18 and 19, in the Fellowship Hall in the basement of the church, located across from the green in the village of Wells. There will be lots of items to choose from including dresses, skirts, jeans, slacks, tops, shoes and handbags as well as a selection of men’s shirts, pants and jackets. Children’s clothing will also be available as well as household items, toys, books and bedding. The sale will be open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, anything you can stuff in the bag provided is $3. Drop off donations from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, Monday to Thursday, May 14 to 17.
