‘Deep Ecology’ Workshop
On Saturday, February 16, from 1 to 4:30 p.m., Dionondehowa will offer ‘Deep Ecology with Beauty and Delight,’ an in-depth introduction to being in nature – and the nature of being. According to Dionondehowa director Bonnie Hoag, who will guide this spirited adventure within the 217-acre, nonprofit forever-wild Sanctuary, “The Deep Ecology movement has several tributaries. For Dionondehowa, we’re curious about our human relationship with Nature when we set aside our field guides and assumptions and rather, take Nature itself as our teacher.” Hoag’s knowledge as a practitioner of Reiki will inform this workshop as it will focus on our sensitivity to energy, particularly in the forms of Beauty and Delight. Dionondehowa Wildlife Sactuary and School is located on the Battenkill at 148 Stanton Road in Shushan, N.Y. The cost for the workshop is $60.
