Discover Dorset Fall Festival is Almost Here
Spend a splendid fall weekend exploring a picture-perfect Vermont town. One of the most beautiful villages in Vermont, Dorset will celebrate its arts, history and talented community during a two-day fall festival on September 7 and 8. Well known for its classical New England architecture and breathtaking setting, Dorset is home to a number of excellent restaurants, elegant small inns, galleries and shops perfect for a getaway.The weekend includes over two dozen events, including a scavenger hunt, a mountain biking tour, Old Tyme kids games at the Barrows House, demonstrations, Back Road tours, workshops and more. Local artists will open their studios; a Vermont cheese-tasting will be held at the Dorset Inn. J.K. Adams Kitchen Store will host a pie-judging contest on the Green and Chef Ray Chen will demonstrate techniques for smoking various types of meats at his Inn at West View Farm.
Mettowee Mill Nursery and Landscaping will be celebrating its 40th year, with gardening speakers, demonstrations, and drawings for gift certificates.
On Saturday evening, people are urged to pack their dinner hampers and join the crowd on the Green to enjoy a concert by Gold Town. They will be performing their foot-stomping bluegrass music from 7 -10 p.m.
