Discussion on Beat Generation

Join Bill Morgan at the Mark Skinner Library, 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, for a look at the Beat Generation. Morgan, the country’s leading authority on the movement and a man who personally knew most of the Beats, narrates the history of these writers; their origins during World War II, their notoriety in the late 1950s and their influence on the 1960s.

Morgan is the author of  ‘I Celebrate Myself: The Somewhat Private Life of Allen Ginsberg,’ and ‘The Typewriter Is Holy: The Complete, Uncensored History of the Beat Generation.’ He worked with Allen Ginsberg  for nearly 20 years.

The presentation is free and open to the public. For details, call 802-362-2607 or email events@markskinnerlibrary.org. Mark Skinner Library is located at 48 West Road in Manchester, Vt.
