DIY Holiday Craft Studio Opening in Manchester
Create with Bogate is opening a DIY craft studio in Manchester Center for the holiday season, where people can come to make handcrafted gifts, decorations and ornaments. It will be located at 4764 Main Street in the former Movado building, between Silverado and Marimekko. Ben and Lana Hauben of Manchester Designer Outlets have generously donated the space for this creative community endeavor. People may choose among 30 specific projects featured at the store, use the sewing studio or extensive inventory of art and craft supplies and equipment to work on their own projects, or buy materials to make projects at home. Instruction will be provided, so no specific craft skills are required. Finished items can then be creatively packaged in the store’s wrapping station.
Stacy Gates, owner of Create with Bogate, will also offer workshops to teach specific skills to create additional projects and the studio will be available for holiday parties and crafting gatherings by appointment. For six years, Create with Bogate has provided handmade workshops as an alternative to the commercialized Christmas shopping environment. Its goal is to provide a space and opportunity for families to slow down, spend quality time together and make handmade holiday gifts that will most likely be treasured for years.
The studio will be open from Friday, November 29 to December 24, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. It will also be open on December 23 and 24. For details, contact Stacy Gates at 802-236-0684 or [email protected]
