Dorset Fishing Derby

The Dorset Sportsmen’s Club annual fishing derby will be held Saturday, May 14, from 12 to 2 p.m., at the Mill Pond on Church Street in Dorset Village. Children ages 14 and under are invited to participate in this rain or shine event. Bring your own fishing poles and bait. For more information, call Fawn at 802-867-7008.

Arlington Fishing Derby

The Arlington Children’s Fishing Derby is slated for Saturday, May 14, beginning at 10 a.m. Historically hosted by the Sons of the American Legion, this year’s event will be hosted by American Legion Auxiliary Unit 69. Some SAL members will be in attendance. The Fishing Derby is held at the pond on Route 313 at the Fire Station. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m.; fishing will begin at 10. A certificate will be awarded to each child that participates, and trophies will be awarded in several categories. This is a morning of great fun and memories – the children are always so excited when they catch a fish!
