Dorset One-Act Play Festival
The Dorset Players’ One-Act Play Festival will be held on Friday and Saturday, April 4 and 5, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 6 at 2 p.m. Tickets are available at the door, at 802-867-5570 or dorsetplayers.org.
The line-up includes an amusing piece by Gary Meitrott entitled ‘A Coupla Bimbos Sittin’ Around Talkin’; a poignant portrait of a man’s willingness to adapt to a changing world, entitled ‘Lou Gehrig Did Not Die Of Cancer’ directed by Bill Cruikshank; a monologue by Steven Dunning directed by Jeffrey Linebeck, and ensemble plays directed by Adrienne Cote and Zachary Zupan. The cast includes Elisabeth Hazelton, Tracy Hughes, Caroline Hogan, Vanessa Beattie, Kya Davis, Rachel Foster, Kevin O’Toole and Debby Goldman. Adrienne Cote will direct ‘The Blueberry Hill Accord,’ a humorous take on just how best friends might formalize a break-up, and Zachary Zupan will direct ‘The Spot,’ a very funny, yet cynical slice of political advertising at work.
