Mounds of pumpkins and gourds adorn Three Pears Gallery and the neighboring Dorset Union Store, who are co-hosting the second annual ‘Taste of Autumn’ on the Dorset Green, this Columbus Day Weekend, this Saturday and Sunday, October 8 and 9, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Decked out in full autumn glory, the two businesses will celebrate Vermont specialty foods as well as new art from distinguished artists Ken Rush, Leslie Parke and Jim Rodgers, who have been inspired to paint vibrant fall scenes.

The historic Dorset Union Store, which celebrated its bicentennial birthday this year, will offer a  bounty of food selections from their outdoor grill and share special tastings of local fare from a variety of area producers.

Next door,  Three Pears Gallery will feature Crazy Cat Ladies’ Halloween-themed ceramics and designs exclusively created for the Gallery. Complimentary warm cider, homemade cookies and  Dutton Farmstand’s apples will be offered to visitors and friends. This annual festival to welcome Vermont’s crisp and colorful season will be held rain or shine. For more information, call Three Pears Gallery at
