Dutton’s Spring Celebration
Dutton’s will fling open the doors of the sugar house and farm stand on Saturday, April 2, from 12 to 3 p.m., in a celebration that will feature samples of food from local vendors, lively music and the chance to see syrup made from trees tapped on the property. The farm stand, open year-round, will host special festivities to herald the traditional beginning of early spring in Vermont. Sample Dutton’s own fudge, jams, cider donuts, maple cookies and sweet cider. Ever-popular maple creemies will be available, and local specialty suppliers will offer samples of Raiche Vermont Salsa, cheeses (including Taylor Farm, Plymouth, and Grafton), Pioneer Bean hummus, True North and Vermont Maple granolas, Halliday dip mixes and Vermont Gelato. If this doesn’t sound sweet enough, there’ll be honey from Trifolium Honey Farm and Wagatha organic treats for the dog. Fiddler and bagpipes players Ben and Alan Partridge will supply the tunes! Look for the clouds of steam billowing from the sugarhouse, where Wendy Dutton will be boiling. Dutton’s Farm Stand is located on Route 11/30 north, Manchester. Call 802-362-3083 for information.
