Eagle Scout Will Clifford’s project.

Arlington Boy Scout, Will Clifford, presented his Eagle project to the North Hoosick Fire Department on Monday, September 9. The completion of an Eagle project requires the boy scout to demonstrate leadership, as well as complete a project for the benefit of the community. Will is a junior firefighter in North Hoosick, N.Y., and he thought it was fitting to complete his Eagle project on Fire Safety Education. He built a bookcase that included LED lights inside to display fire safety information and burned household items. Every other Friday night, the fire department hosts dances for 150+ students in grades 4 to 8. The fire safety case will be on display for students to view. Will dedicated his Eagle project to a fellow firefighter, Mike Cottrell, who passed away from cancer last year. Will had the support of the NHFD and  fellow Troop 334 members as well throughout the duration of this project. Congratulations, Will!
