Egg Decorating Contest To Benefit Second Chance Animal Center

Even though Easter is late this year – April 21 – the annual Easter Egg Decorating Contest will begin soon at Mother Myrick’s Confectionery. A perfect project for the whole family, the contest this year will benefit Second Chance Animal Center in Arlington. Help a great cause and have fun, too! A suggested donation of $5 or more per entry would be welcome. All ages can decorate one hollowed-out egg in any way you wish; you can even incorporate the egg into a larger scene or theme. (One egg per entry.) Everyone gets a chocolate bunny just for bringing in their entry, and all entries will compete for first, second and third place prizes in each age category. The grand prize is Mother Myrick’s huge hand-decorated AnnaBelle chocolate bunny filled with jelly beans, Easter candy and other surprises. A $195 value, she’s like a giant chocolate pinata! Additional prizes of chocolate bunnies will be awarded to each age category winner. Entries can be brought into the store as early as April 6, with the final deadline being April 14. Winning entry awards will be presented on Saturday, April 20, at the store, located on Route 7A/South Main Street in Manchester. Call 802-362-1560 for further details, or email [email protected]
