Emergency Needs Fund Auction
Sunday, November 17, at 5:30 p.m., the Interfaith Council of the Northshire will hold its annual Harvest Potluck Supper and Fundraising Auction, to benefit the Emergency Needs Fund.
This year’s dinner and auction will be held at Israel Congregation of Manchester, 6025 Main Street, Manchester Center, next to the Town Hall.
Each year, dozens of people from across the Northshire come to the Emergency Needs Fund as a last resort to buy fuel, pay an electric bill, make a rent payment or some other compelling need that requires immediate funding. Through the generosity of donors from across the Northshire, the Emergency Needs Fund is able to meet many of the requests for emergency funding. Auctioneer extraordinaire Bill Drunsic will be wielding the gavel for the auction, which will feature a range of goods, services, vacation homes, food and other items, sure to appeal to everyone.
“The Emergency Needs Fund is the lifeline for many in our community,” said the Rev. Kathy Clark, chair of the IFC. “Each year our interfaith community takes it upon ourselves to raise the funds to replenish the Emergency Needs Fund, so that our social safety net in the Northshire is strengthened.”
