Essential Oils for Bug Repellent
Gail Mann is back at Neighborhood Connections for her third presentation on using essential oils for wellness and well-being. On Thursday, June 2, at 1 p.m.,she will discuss how to use essential oils to repel bugs, treat insect bites, disinfect wounds and soothe away rashes, cuts and scrapes. There is no charge to attend, but call 802-824-4343 to register.“Essential oils are natural aromatic compounds found in plants that act as an immune system for the plant. These same compounds can be used to effectively repel insects and as healing tinctures for common first aid,” says Mann, who will share do-it-yourself recipes for natural bug spray and first aid solutions. She will also explore recommendations that are safe for children and pets.
