Lime Kiln Farm Wildlife Sanctuary in Sheffield is a bucolic 250-acre property within the Schenob Brook Area of Critical Environmental Concern, and hosts a wide variety of animal and plant life. Hillside hayfields offer magnificent views of the Taconic Range, and a 100-year old lime kiln adds historical interest to our walk. We will walk the sanctuary’s trail system through meadow and forest searching for fascinating life forms of all kinds, as well as geologic and historic landmarks. The first five attendees may ride in a van to the location.
