‘Fairies in the Hamlet’
Visitors will experience the mystical world of fairies through musical, visual and folk-art presentations at ‘Fairies in the Hamlet,’ an outdoor installation of fairy houses and gnome homes at The Georgi on the Battenkill Community Park and Museum. Local artists have created tableaus featuring fairy homes and scenes related to these mythical creatures and their dwellings with natural and organic materials for the show, which opens with festivities from Saturday, June 18, to Monday, June 20. The show itself will be on view through mid-July. Among the events sceduled are workshops, storytelling and a firefly walk on Monday evening as the sun sets on the Summer Solstice.
