Farm to Table Dinner – Celebrating the Earth’s Bounty

Farm to Table DinnerOn August 24, the Bennington Museum and the Walloomsac Farmers’ Market join together to present the fourth annual Farm to Table Dinner. This gastronomical adventure, sponsored by Greylock Insurance, is held in the beautiful Paul Paresky Museum Court and Ada Paresky Education Center at the Bennington Museum from 6 to 10. Tickets proceeds benefit Bennington County Meals on Wheels and the Bennington Museum.

The Tuscan-inspired menu, prepared by top chefs in the area, is an elegantly casual, seven-course tasting dinner with dishes prepared from the bounty of farm fresh foods from the region and available from the many local farmers at the Walloomsac Farmers’ Market.

Ken and Gail Albert, owners of Shelburne Vineyard, will talk about the fine wines they expressly selected to accompany each course. Judith D. Schwartz, journalist and author of ‘Cows Save The Planet’, will give introductory remarks.  In her book, Schwartz looks at the condition of the earth’s soil as a crucible for our environmental, economic, and social crises. GVH Studio is sponsoring live music for the evening.
