Free Community Dinners Resume in Arlington
The 2019 series of free winter dinners hosted by Saint James’ Episcopal Church in Arlington begins on Friday, January 25. This month’s menu, served from 5:50 to 7 p.m., will feature homemade beef stew with salad, breads, dessert, beverages and coffee. There is no charge for the dinner, but free-will donations will be gratefully accepted, and are earmarked this month for Project Against Violent Encounters, the Bennington-based initiative to prevent domestic abuse and to advocate for victims of violence. The remaining free dinners in the series will take place on Fridays, February 22, March 29 and April 26. All are welcome to join friends and neighbors – those you know and those you don’t know yet – for an evening of good food, conversation and fellowship. There is plenty of parking in front of the church on Route 7A. The dinner is handicapped-accessible. For more information, call 802-375-9952.
