Free Family Lawn Concert
Celebrate the end of summer with a free family lawn concert at Manchester’s Wilburton Inn on Saturday, September 5, from 4 to 5 p.m., when innkeeper Melissa Levis will reprise her career as lead singer in the award-winning Moey’s Music Party, to get children and parents singing and dancing. Levis created the program ten years ago as a volunteer music teacher at Northshire Day School, and had a weekly kids’ music show on GNAT-TV. After moving back to New York City, she turned Moey’s Music Party into a beloved brand and sang for 10,000 kids a year at venues including Central Park, FAO Schwarz, Bloomingdales, the New York Public Library and the Tribeca Film Festival. Thanks to her Manchester beginnings, she became a GRAMMY award voter and produced an Off-Broadway family musical and trilogy of award winning CDs and DVDs.
“I’m happy to have this chance to give back and thank the community with singing, dancing and lots of maraca shaking,” says Melissa, aka Moey. “Bring your dancing shoes because we’re giving away prizes for the most enthusiastic ‘Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes’ family dancers.”
The Inn is located at 257 Wilburton Drive off River Road . The concert is rain or shine. Call 802-362-2500 to RSVP or email info@wilburtonInn.com.
