Free Pittsfield Repair Cafe
The Pittsfield Resilience Circle held its sixth monthly Repair Cafe on July 20. Guests appreciated having their items fixed for free, and learning something about how to repair their stuff; volunteers got a kick out of doing the work, and everyone enjoyed the convivial atmosphere.
The next event is August 17, 1 to 5, in the basement of St. Stephen’s Church at 67 East Street in Pittsfield, Mass. The event is held only one afternoon a month, on the third Saturday.
Organizers encourage participants to bring non-working lamps and small electrical appliances, all types of clothing and fabric items, blades that need sharpening, bikes that need maintenance, and many other types of items. See photos and read more on Facebook at The Pittsfield Repair Cafe.
