Freedom Family Day
On Sunday, November 2, from 1 to 4:30 p.m., the Clark Art Institute holds Freedom Family Day in conjunction with the final day of the exhibition ‘Radical Words: From Magna Carta to the Constitution,’ which features six documents critical to the formation of American democracy: an original copy of Magna Carta, a broadside original of the Declaration of Independence, a draft of the United States Constitution, an 1863 official folio copy of the Emancipation Proclamation, an 1876 original of the Declaration of Rights of the Women of the United States, and a 1949 copy of the United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The day offers fun for all ages, including family-friendly gallery talks at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m., and sing-alongs featuring songs about peace, love and freedom at 2 and 4 p.m. Several art-making projects will be offered as well. The Clark is located at 225 South Street in Williamstown, Mass. For more information, visit clarkart.edu or call 413-458-2303.
