Fundraising Auction to Benefit Turning Point
Turning Point Center of Bennington is holding a gala Fundraising Auction on October 12, at 10. Furniture, art, appliances, services and gifts, donated by Bennington businesses and residents, will be auctioned at Brent Peacock’s Storage and Rentals, 1234 Airport Road in Shaftsbury, Vt. Ron Seifert is the auctioneer for this event. Refreshments and entertainment will be available.
The Center is preparing to celebrate ten years of service in the community, yet many residents do not really know what Turning Point is, or what we do. We are a safe place where individuals and families struggling with the effects of alcohol and drug abuse, and other addictive behaviors, can find fellowship and support among peers. Our mission is to help people find, maintain and enhance their recovery experience through peer support, recreation and educational opportunities.
The Turning Point Center of Bennington, Vt., recently honored the service of its volunteers and welcomed new Board members at a dinner held at the Publick House Restaurant in Bennington. Twenty-two Bennington residents, who commit hundreds of hours in volunteer service, were acknowledged by this non-profit organization.
The Center is located at 465 Main Street in Bennington, Vt. For information, call 802-442-9700, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
