Gold Panning Workshop Planned at Martha Canfield Library
Recreational gold prospecting is the only hobby where a person can follow their dreams of striking it rich and actually have a chance of doing so.
Join the modern gold rush here in Vermont at a workshop starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, at the Martha Canfield Library in Arlington. You will learn a little Vermont gold rush history, basic gold panning techniques and how to read a river for gold deposits. The classroom portion is about two hours long; the group will then head out to a local river, so dress appropriately. There will be gold panning and metal detecting supplies available for those wishing to make a purchase. The cost for the event is $10 a person. Call 802-503-6240 or email email@example.com for more information.
