Golf Tournament to Benefit the Dorset Playhouse
The Dorset Players have teamed up with the Dorset Field Club, America’s oldest continuous running golf course, to host its inaugural Golf Outing fundraiser on Friday, May 10, to raise funds for the Playhouse Building and Maintenance Fund. The event starts with a continental breakfast at 8 a.m., with a shotgun tee-off at 9. Each of the four pars will feature a different hole-in-one prize: tickets to the Super Bowl, The Masters, the US Open and a Pebble Beach golf vacation. There will be closest to the pin competitions as well as men’s and women’s Longest Drive and Straightest Drive. The tournament will conclude with a plated sit-down luncheon, the presentation of awards and a silent auction. This is your chance to play this exclusive, private club! There are many levels of sponsorship, including foursomes. There are a limited number of spots available, so get your tickets early. They are $150 per single or $550 per foursome for golf and lunch; the luncheon alone is $45 per person. The Dorset Players have been performing community theatre since 1927 at The Dorset Playhouse. It is also the venue of the Dorset Theatre Festival. The two companies produce programs, shows and other events though the year. Please consider supporting your local community theater by calling 802-867-5570 and learn on how to become a sponsor or buy tickets.
